A Short Trip to Pondy!!!

Finally....

Yup, finally we made took our long overdue vacation.

After days of procrastination we finally got ourselves moving.. It was a lovely trip, but tiring too, as we were with a very energectic and slightly overactive toddler. All along our drive, we had to stop or slow down at any place on the way with even a spot of water to check for 'crocs', one my son's favorite animals. It was the first overnight trip with Monu. We had cancelled many a trip, as we thought it[a change in climate,..] would be tiring for him.. Well.. we were proved wrong.. It was tiring for us and not him.

Monu loves to walk, and run all around.. But, when we really wanted him to walk atleast a 100 meters, he was literally hanging to our necks, like a baby monkey.

So Dada, Mamma and baby monkey had long walks along the beach and the surronding streets of Arvindo Ashram and markets of Pondicherry.

We had great time. Should make such trips more often.

Here are some photos we have taken on our trip.

Weekend "Monu's Blog"

Let me introduce to one of the most important men in my life... My sunny boy - VJ. Thrilok aka Monu aka chuchumby aka chithu...
That seems to be a long list of names rt... The names other than Thrilok and Monu were added by a small exercise. My son is too fond of television (for my liking). The other day, he was sitting and watching his favourite commercial - vodaphone. Thought of a new idea, i started calling him names, started off with dei.. no response, kanna... no response, and then tried Thrilok, he turned and and gave me a small smile...I was a little relieved.. then tried dei again, no response, this went on for a while till he got bored and turned a deaf ear, but only after giving me a mean blank stare, quite like his dad.

But I was able to get about 5-6 new names for him...

Thrilok is an inquistive, enthusiastic and a hyperactive kid, like most of his age. He looks into everything from a fly to aeroplane with awe and lot of questions...Everything that is of comfortable size to be lifted, is picked up touched, stared into deeply digesting its beauty, and tasted.. It astonishes me to see him, absorb everything new thing with all his five senses... A child is truly God's best creation.

Creativity put to Guillotine

“Sometimes you've got to let everything go - purge yourself. If you are unhappy with anything . . . whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you'll find that when you're free, your true creativity, your true self comes out.”

I am sure that almost all of us, except a very lucky few who love the job they are doing, must have experienced dead end, or a blank phase in our life/career...

Recently I encountered a blank phase, some thing like a writer's block or more like a black hole, it was sapping in my happiness. I felt as if I was a loser, pursuing a career which I did not like or appreciate !!!

This economic recession made me wonder if I had made a right choice of taking IT as my career... HA! Inspiration and revalation come from the same factor(money,$$$$$) which made me loose my dream choice of a job!! God has a crocked sense of humor and irony.

Creativity, Innovation, Imagination... were the key ingredients in my dream job. I religiously followed my search for my dream job, when I had completed my college years.

I landed up in jobs with high monetary benefits but no creative ascepts in them at all...Like many of my counterparts, I decided to take the "more-paying" job out of the anxiety of making some easy money, and settling down to do the job I liked.

Man Proposes... God Disposes...

I got entangled in this monotonous job, which sapped me of my energy, my originality and my imagination...

The prospect of losing the comfortable pay, stopped me from taking a few oppurtunities I got to pursue a career of my choice..Was earning a little more worth it?? I doubt it!!!

Have made a resolution to utilize the first chance I get to take up a job I like!!!

This time am planning to stick to my resolution...

"If I don't get smarter about the choice I make, I'm going to end up with this colourless, tame, unexicting job for the rest of my life"

Started looking out for the book - "Creativity for Dummies!"

Trying to scrap!!!

This is my first blog!!!

Have always wanted to blog... Now surprisingly when I am in front of my system ready to give it a try... Words seems to have a mind of their own, and are not ready at my disposal..

Am looking outside the window to see if any thing can give me some idea abt my first post...

The outside world looks bleak, wet and everything was in a stand-still.
After two days of continuous rainfall, the streets of Chennai seem like little rivers. Everything is chill and stagnant. Wading through these tiny rivers is like going on a adventurous trip! You will never be able to imagine what you might encounter as u wade through these mushy waters to work.

Every year before monsoon, planning and action is taken on how to cope up with the rains and water logging. But, each time we feel that we are better prepared than the previous monsoon, Lord Varuna proves us wrong... :(

The cold atmosphere around makes me want a nice hot piping cup of coffee.. better yet a filter coffee...

Ahaaa! thinking of a coffee makes me feel brighter and fresher, in this dull day.

Filter Coffee... It is one of the best pleasures of life. Sipping a nice cup in the morning, with the day's paper in hand. Here I am with a cup of sweet smelling coffee in a hand and still staring at the monitor thinking of what to scrap...

Hoping that I will be lucky the next morning, with great ideas to crap, am logging off to enjoy my coffee :)
